Finally after a lot of preparation we transformed the raised beds at Central Hall into a beautiful community garden. We also comissioned a mural by @dynamikart which really added a lovely touch of wildlife to the space. The raised bed had a beautiful Indian Bean tree that was sadly blown over by Storm Eunice in 2022. What is left is fondly known as 'the stump' and still has a tree protection order on it and so CUE made it a part of the new garden bed.
We were the lucky winners of a bench planter from TerraCycle and so we had it placed in a space which we hope will become a place where people can have their lunch or have a chat.
Collaboration with: The Herbert Art Gallery, Team Springboard and Mothers Who Make
Some beautiful planters were made for the Herbert Arty Gallery courtyard (near the cafe) and we were invited to collaborate on them and were involved in several planting sessions in 2023 and 2024 - even in the freezing January temperatures, we were planting bulbs!
